Horticultural tasks According to Royal Horticultural Society (https://www.rhs.org.uk/education-learning/careers-horticulture), the horticultural industry is one of the largest employers in the UK. A career in horticulture could mean anything from a hands-on gardener to a research scientist. There are many, many opportunities out there. Horticulture is also social and therapeutic, a medium which can transform lives. According to Thrive (http://thrive.org.uk/what-is-social-and-therapeutic-horticulture.aspx), social and therapeutic horticulture is the process of using plants and gardens to improve physical and mental health, as well as communication and thinking skills. It also uses the garden as a safe and secure place to develop someone's ability to mix socially, make friends and learn practical skills that will help them to be more independent. This opportunity will allow volunteers to practice what they know/learnt and share knowledge for the benefit of the charity and a wider community - including future trainees. visite the site: http://www.the4csne.com
